Energy  Assistance Program

Applications are currently being accepted for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP), which helps low-income households pay their primary heat source bills. Energy payments are determined by family size and gross income, and by whether a household is classified as “vulnerable”. Vulnerable households have a member who is under age 6, who is age 60+, or who is any age and disabled

Old Lyme residents can apply:

  • By appointment through the Town of Old Lyme Social Services (860-434-1605 ext. 228) or

  • online application

REQUIRED INFORMATION:

    • Social Security numbers and birth dates for all household members
    • Current Eversource bill
    • Statement from your primary heating source company
    • Current income documentation for every adult household member
    • SNAP verification letter (if applicable)
