I understand there is a warming trend coming our way!  We might see 30° this weekend.

The new front doors in the historic section of the building have been installed. Erik Olsen, Facilities Manager, spent the Monday holiday here at Town Hall with the install team. They also installed new door sweeps and weather strips to make the doors more energy efficient. Please note that the keying system has had some minor adjustments. Erik Olsen will be providing information to keyholders that need updated keys. The new doors are much easier to lock and unlock!  

We were notified this week by USA TODAY 10Best that Old Lyme is in the top 10 winners list in their 2025 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Small Town Arts Scene! The official announcement will be revealed on February 26^th.

Ed Adanti, Director of Public Works, and his wonderful crew have been out repairing the potholes that have appeared after the last two storms. The ice has taken its toll on many of our streets. Ed would like the residents to report any dangerous road conditions to Michele Hayes, Office Manager at mhayes@oldlyme-ct.gov. The crew will respond as quickly as possible to repair them.  

Please be aware that the town has hired a contractor to take down the trees that have been marked by the Tree Warden for removal. This activity will take place within the next two weeks.  

We have posted our request for proposal for the 2025 street paving cycle. These bids are scheduled to be opened at Town Hall on March 21^st. We will provide more detailed information as the date draws closer.

The Sound View Sewer Project bids are scheduled to be opened on February 25^th at 10 AM. This will take place in the Meeting Hall. Here is the virtual link if you would like to watch the bid opening.
