Today we welcome a new addition to Town Hall. Anita Leittieri has joined our staff as the Assessment Technician in the Assessor’s office. Anita is replacing Mickie Fraser who recently retired. Assessor Melinda Kronfeld and her search team spent four weeks interviewing many candidates. Anita was their top choice, as she has an extensive background in real estate appraisal. We look forward to having Anita as part of our Town Hall team.

Also, the Assessor would like to remind citizens that Municipal Valuations Services, LLC (Munival) of Fairfield, CT is continuing with data collection for our upcoming revaluation. For week-by-week updates on the location of data collection, please visit the Assessor's office.

A huge shout out to our Public Works team that helped move furniture in the Tax Collector’s and Assessor’s offices in preparation for our new team member. Public Works department crew Brian Lorentson, George Martin and Rick Gocka arrived ready to help move desks, tables and bookcases to the appropriate spots for Suzanne Thompson (Tax Collector) and Melinda Kronfeld (Assessor). Both offices look like they have had a spring cleaning.

The Board of Finance met on Tuesday night to continue their review of the Board of Selectmen’s budget. Their next meeting is on Tuesday, March 5th at 7 PM, when they will review the budget for General Government, and Boards and Commissions.

We are excited to announce that we will be offering online options this year to apply for and pay for summer parking passes, dog licenses and replacement trash and/or recycle bins. We are in the process of getting quotes and creating a fillable form. Many residents have asked for more online options over the years. We will let you know when the online system is up and running!

Town Hall is looking to hire a part-time Human Resources Generalist. The job posting is listed on our website. This is the perfect opportunity for an applicant who wants to work 15-20 hours per week. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please direct them to our website.

Reminder, the Visiting Nurse is at the Town Hall every Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM running a free drop-in blood pressure clinic.

Today’s weather might have us believe that March is coming in like a lamb. Will it leave like a lion? Have an amazing weekend!

All my best,
Martha
