Town employees from many departments had their first ever gourd decorating contest this year. Tracy Beatty of the Finance Department organized the competition and tallied the staff votes. It was great fun and I encourage you to stop in to see our very impressive creations (displayed on the sill of the staircase going from the first floor to the lower level.) You won't be disappointed you did!

Municipal Election to be held Tuesday, November 7

The polling location is the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School gymnasium. Please enter through the main entrance of the school (by the flag pole.)

The polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Pumpkin Collection for Garden Compost

The Lyme Old Lyme Food Share Garden would like your pumpkins when you are done with your pumpkin fun. They will be collecting non-painted pumpkins for the garden's compost on Saturday, November 4, from 9AM to 12PM at the Town Woods Park.

Holiday Closing Schedule 

The Town Hall will be closed Friday, November 10, in observance of Veterans Day. The Transfer Station will be open on Friday, however, it will be closed on Saturday, November 11, in observance of the holiday. Trash and recycling will be picked up per usual.

Parks & Recreation

Cross Lane Court Refurbishing Project Update & Slideshow: The pickle ball courts are up and running and being used daily. The new tennis posts and nets are up, the new basketball nets are in and will be installed soon.

Veterans Day

Because Veterans Day falls on Saturday, November 11th, our Regional School District 18's Veterans Day ceremonies will occur on Friday, November 10th. in addition, VFW Post 1467 will conduct a brief ceremony at the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall flag pole at about 11:15 a.m., and members of the public are encouraged to attend. 

Remember to turn your clocks back this weekend.
