Free Flu Shots for Old Lyme Residents

The Old Lyme Visiting Nurse Association will be holding its annual free flu vaccination clinic.  It is a drive through format and any resident of Lyme or Old Lyme that is over 18 is eligible for a free regular (not high dose) flu shot on Saturday, October 21st from 10am-1pm at the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School.  

Lymes' Senior Center

The Senior Center staff is settling into their new temporary offices at the Town Hall in the American Legion Room (2nd floor). The move has not slowed down their activity offerings; visit their website page to see their calendar, a full a list of trips and this month's newsletter. 

Assessor's Office Notification

The Assessor’s Office reminds all Persons Conducting Business in the Town of Old Lyme that, pursuant to Section 12-40 of the Connecticut General Statutes, they have a requirement to file a complete and accurate Declaration of all taxable personal property used in the conduct of their business with the Assessor’s Office as of October 1, 2023.  Personal Property Declarations have been mailed out to persons known to be conducting business in the Town of Old Lyme.  Whether or not you have received a Declaration, the Declaration must be filed or postmarked (as defined in C.G.S. Sec. 1-2a) no later than Wednesday, November 1, 2023.  

Election Information

The Municipal Election will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 and the polls will be open from 6:00am. to 8:00pm. The polling location is the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School gymnasium located at 53 Lyme Street. Absentee Ballots will be available beginning October 6, 2023.  For more information on how to apply for an absentee ballot contact the Town Clerk’s office. If you want to register to vote or check your voter status, please contact the Registrar of Voters’ office or visit this page.

Lieutenant River Trails and Bridge Project

If you didn't get a chance to attend one of the open houses for the Lieutenant River Trails and Bridge project, here is the link to review the presentation, to make comments and to vote for the bridge design you prefer. This design phase is fully funded through grants and additional grants will be sought for funding the actual construction of the project. We will have our voting open till the end of October so please take a look and let the Halls Road Improvements Committee know your thoughts.
