We'd first like to bring your attention to a news alert from our Emergency Management & Fire Marshal regarding a scam involving the impersonation of Fire Inspectors here in Connecticut.

Town Budget Meeting - Monday, May 15, 7:30pm

Electors and citizens eligible to vote in a Town Meeting are hereby warned that the Annual Town Budget meeting will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 7:30pm in the Meeting Hall at the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall. Copies of the proposed 2023/2024 Budget, the proposed ordinance amendments, and the proposal to accept an open space parcel are also available in the Town Clerk’s office. 

Do you Know these Kayaks at Pilgrims Landing?

The Harbor Management Commission (HMC) is seeking help to identify the owners of a number of kayaks, currently stored on the Town-owned racks at Pilgrims Landing. Please take a minute to look through this slideshow of photos. If you recognize any of these crafts and/or know the owner(s), please contact the HMC immediately. They are subject to removal on May 15th. 

Tree Trimming & Amtrak Maintenance

DOT Tree Trimming is scheduled for our section of I-95 between Exits 70-71 this weekend. Eversource is also working it's way up Route 156 toward Lyme with its Vegetation Removal maintenance and Amtrak is conducting helicopter studies of the tracks here along the North East shoreline corridor.

Duck River Garden Club - Spring Plant Sale

Be sure to stop by the Duck River Garden Club's annual plant sale at the Old Lyme Shopping Center on Hall's Rd, Friday, May 12 from 12-7pm & Saturday, May 13 from 9-1pm. 

We wanted to take a moment to congratulate the Old Lyme Fire Department on its centennial anniversary. The department was officially formed on May 15, 1923. 

Last, we encourage you to come into Town Hall to see the Lyme - Old Lyme High School Art exhibit here in the Town Hall. We have some extremely talented students!
