From: Harbor Master/Old Lyme Harbor Management Commission (OLHMC)
To: Prospective 2020 Old Lyme Mooring Holders
Subject: 2020 Communication #2 - Mooring Application/Tackle Inspection Forms
This message is to remind all prospective Old Lyme Mooring permit holders of the activities required for the upcoming 2020 boating season.
As previously communicated, and set forth in the current Old Lyme Harbor Ordinance, all moorings in Old Lyme waters require annual permitting, with inspection/certification of tackle against established standards at a minimum of every four years (to coincide with the US Presidential Election cycle). See the complete Harbor Management Plan/Ordinances at: https://www.oldlyme-ct.gov/harbormaster-harbor-management-commission
ALL 2020 Moorings will require updated proof of inspection before permits will be approved, and 2020 decals provided.
Beginning in May, the Harbor Master will begin routine checks of the mooring fields of the Local waters. Boaters are reminded that moorings without valid permits and/or those that do not comply with the Old Lyme Harbor Ordinance standards for placement or identification may be removed from service without notice, and the associated removal and storage costs will be your responsibility.
Attached to this message/available for download are the updated 2020 Mooring Permit Application and Tackle Inspection forms. Both of these forms offer you the option to either complete on-line and print, or print a blank copy for hand completion.
(If required, use of the free Adobe Reader XI tool is recommended).
