This week we have been preparing for the Annual Town Board of Finance Budget Public Hearing that will be held on Monday, April 28^th at 7:30PM in the Town Hall Meeting Room. We hope that you will attend so you can learn more about the proposed FY 25/26 town budget.  

Save the Date! We will be holding a Grand Opening Celebration for the Lymes’ Senior Center on May 31^st from 1-3PM.  

We have a few events happening in town this weekend that you may be interested in:

• LYSB will be sponsoring a “Drug Take Back” day at the Lyme Street Fire House from 10-2PM.  
• If you would like to have your child’s car seat installation checked, please bring your vehicle, your child, and their existing car seat to LYSB’s Car Seat Safety Check event to have them double-checked by certified police technicians. This will be held during the Drug Take Back event. Appointments are required. Walk-ins may not be able to be accommodated.
• The Old Lyme Town Band is celebrating their 50^th anniversary this year. They will be presenting a free concert for the public in the auditorium of Lyme-Old Lyme High School on Saturday, April 26^th, at 7PM. A reception will follow the concert. All are welcome and there is no charge for admission.
• The Old Lyme Historical Society and the Old Lyme Land Trust are co-sponsoring a lecture at 1PM followed by a guided walk at the Watch Rock Preserve at 2PM this Sunday, April 27^th. The talk will be  given by Town Historian Dr. John "Ned" Pfeiffer on Native American Sites in Old Lyme . 
• The Old Lyme Harbormaster & the Old Lyme Harbor Management Commission are sponsoring a CT Safe Boating Certificate Class on May 9^th & 10^th at the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall. Harbormaster Matt Lynch has informed me that there are still seats available.
