This will be a short newsletter with a few important reminders.

• The Town Hall elevator will be OUT of SERVICE for scheduled maintenance, until 4PM on Friday January 3^rd. If this will have an impact on your visit to Town Hall, please call in advance 860.434.1605 so we can accommodate you on the first or lower levels.  
  Specifically, if you need services from the second floor: Building Department, Finance, Inland Wetlands, Land Use, Planning, Registrars of Voter, Health Department (LedgeLight), Emergency Management, IT, Facilities and Zoning.
• Citizen of the Year Nominations are due on January 3^rd. Please find the nomination form here.
• All Board, Commission and Committee members whose terms are expiring at the end of January must submit an application for reappointment by January 3, 2025, if they are interested in continuing to serving.  
• Anyone wishing to volunteer on a Board, Commission or Committee should submit their applications by January 3, 2025.  The application form for new appointments is the same as the one above. Here is the current vacancy list.
• Please note that we have had some car break-ins over the holiday season. This is a friendly reminder to lock your car doors. Please take all valuables out of your car as these can be an attraction for break-ins. Also take your keys and fobs out of your car. Our Police Department would appreciate any camera footage that you may have. Please contact Resident State Trooper at Matthew.Weber@ct.gov.
• The Board of Selectmen will begin their budget review on Monday, December 30^th. This meeting will be in the Mezzanine Meeting room and will run from 12-5PM.  There is no virtual component to this meeting.
• Please remember that Town Hall is closed on Wednesday, January 1^st due to the holiday.
