Hamburg Fair - August 18, 19 & 20
Celebrating 120 years with more to do and see! The Hamburg Fair Association reminds residents to use one of the three official parking locations (Reynolds Subaru, Lyme Congreational Church and the Lyme Town Hall / Lyme School). Street parking will result in an $85 vehicle ticket and your vehicle may be towed. The proceeds from each parking lot support a different local nonprofit organization. There will be free shuttlebus service from Lyme Town Hall and Lyme School.
Parks & Recreation Fall Programs for Children & Adults
Registration has begun for the fall Parks & Recreation programs. In addition, work started today on some planned updates for Cross Lane Park: the basketball courts and two tennis courts will be refurbished, and the third tennis court will be turned into four pickleball courts. Due to the extensive amount of work, the courts will not be open to the public for several weeks. We'll keep you posted with updates.
Thursday Night Summer Concert
Sound View Concert Series - the last summer concert will be August 24th 7-8:30pm. Enjoy the sea breeze and great music by the flag pole on Hartford Ave!
Shoreline Gateway Committee
The Shoreline Gateway Committee will present the results of their Shoreline Gateway survey at the next Board of Selectman's meeting on Tuesday, September 5th at 5:30pm in the Town Hall Meeting Room. Please come to hear the presentation and the vision for the future.

Tax-Free Week
Tax-free week, signifies summer is winding down and back to school shopping has begun. Since 2000, Connecticut’s annual tax-free week (6.35% sales tax waived) has given residents savings on clothing and shoes priced under $100. This year it's from Sunday, August 20th to Saturday, August 26th.
