Senior Center Expansion VOTE
Electors and persons eligible to vote at Town Meetings are reminded of the Lymes' Senior Center Expansion Vote on Tuesday, June 20 from 12-8pm at the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School Gymnasium (49 Lyme Street). For more information please review the building renovation public information deck.
2nd Annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
You may dispose of your household hazardous waste materials this Saturday, June 17 at a drive-through collection from 9 am – 1pm at Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School. This collection is for cleaning fluids, workshop finishes, solvents, pesticides and pool chemicals, items that cannot be included in your weekly trash pick up or disposed of at Old Lyme Transfer Station – see the full list in this brochure.
Please remember to check in with the Town Clerk to renew or register your four legged friend(s). Please be aware that dogs should be leashed on Old Lyme Open Space trails for the safety of both hikers and your pet. Incidents have been reported of both people being bitten and dogs themselves being bitten. Coyotes may have pups now and can be very protective near their dens. Rabies is also a risk if your pet is bitten by a wild animal. Report incidents with wild animals to Animal Control. Be respectful of fellow hikers. Even unleashed “friendly” dogs can startle other hikers on trails.
Make Music Day
The Make Music Old Lyme music stroll takes place this coming Wednesday, June 21st from 5pm-7pm. We invite you to "stroll" down Lyme Street and enjoy an evening of music. Refreshments will be sold by the Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Club in front of Center School and the evening culminates with a terrific jam session at Studio 80. This summer solstice event is always a great way to run into family and friends!
