We've had some great weather this week and I hope you have been able to get outside to enjoy it.

Town Band Concert

The Old Lyme Town Band and Mystic-Noank Community Band are starting off their spring musical season tonight with a free performance up at Christ the King Church Hall at 7pm.

OLEMS 

Old Lyme South End Volunteer Ambulance Association members had their annual banquet this past Saturday. This was an opportunity for the organization to thank its volunteers and their families. For the small town of Old Lyme, it is remarkable that the OLEMS responded to over 1,000 calls in 2022. Honors were given to the top 10 responders, and the top two responders were: Dan Labriola (435 calls), and Ray Belval (280 calls). Also acknowledged were the following officers who were stepping down: Juan Tirado for 10+ years as Chief and Deputy Chief, and Sean O’Marra for three years a President and Vice President. Those in attendance congratulated Jane Bysko as President, Dave Musto as Deputy Chief, and Doris Coleman as Secretary.

EDC

The Economic Development Commission has released its first Quarterly Update of news and opportunities for Old Lyme businesses. You can see the Spring 2023 Update  and can also sign up for future EDC Updates on Notify Me.

Job Posting:

The Town of Old Lyme is seeking a part time Tax Assistant to support the Tax Collector's office.  Interested applicants should complete the Town's job application which can be found online.  Please email your application and resume to Katherine Balocca at kbalocca@oldlyme-ct.gov or mail/deliver it to 52 Lyme Street.
