Congratulations to the Lyme-Old Lyme High School Mock Trial Team which won the State Championship yesterday!  You may have heard the excitement as the Fire Department, Police and EMS Ambulance vehicles met and escorted the Team back to the High School. 

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Please join us tomorrow, Saturday, March 25 at 10:45am for a ribbon cutting at Papi's Taqueria. This new Mexican take-out restaurant is located at 19 Halls Road in the Old Lyme Shopping Center. The Economic Development Commission leads us in welcoming owners Kate and her husband Adrian (also known as "Papi") and thanking them for bringing their new business to Old Lyme. 

RiverCOG Compost Bin Sale

The Lower River Valley Council of Governments is having a compost bin sale to promote composting at home. Food waste can easily be separated in your kitchen and brought to your outside bin to be composted. The result is nutrient-rich soil produced in your own back yard. Order your bin for pickup on Sunday, April 30, either in Middletown (from 9-11:00 am) or Essex (from 1-3:00 pm).

LYSB Summer Camp Fair

Reminder that this Wednesday, March 29th from 4-6PM in the Lyme-Old Lyme High School Commons, there will be more than 30 local camps sharing information about their summer programs. Admission is free.  

Theft of Little League Press Box Sound Mixer

Regrettably, the Yamaha audio sound mixer was stolen from the Cross Lane Little League field press box between Saturday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 23. The theft is being investigated by our police and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Sam Barnes at 860-399-2100.

And in closing I’d like to share some sad news, Ron Rose, the former Building Official and Sanitarian for the Town of Old Lyme has recently passed away. Ron was very customer friendly, and we shall miss him dearly
