Temporary Closure of Ferry Landing Fishing Pier and Opening of New Pier at Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam.
As part of the Connecticut River Bridge (CRB) Replacement Project, Amtrak has been working to reconstruct the fishing pier at Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam in anticipation of the temporary closure of the Ferry Landing Pier near the CRB in Old Lyme.
Beginning from April 1, 2025, the Ferry Landing Pier will close and the new Eagle Landing Pier will open. It is Amtrak’s hope that this will accommodate anglers and nature lovers during the bridge construction. Once the bridge project is complete, Amtrak will construct a new and improved fishing pier at the Ferry Landing State Park site. The work at both piers is occurring as a result of coordination between Amtrak and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP).
Visit the CTDEEP website with the current information on the closure.
Eagle Landing State Park is located at 14 Little Meadow Rd, Haddam, CT.
