Warm Wishes for Kathy Hall

Dave Roberge, Martha Shoemaker, Kathy Hall, Time Griswold and Matt Ward

Many of Kathy's co-workers were on hand to wish her well and reminisce about the fun they have had working together over the years.  Kathy worked in the Building Department for 35 years and also worked at the Town's Emergency Operating Center during storms and Millstone nuclear drills.  Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Director, Dave Roberge reminded her of the various events they worked through together: Flooding in March of 2010, Tropical Storm Irene in 2011, Super Storm Sandy 2012, Snow-mageddon in Oct 2013, the Blizzard of 2015 plus numerous other smaller weather events throughout the years. First Selectman Tim Griswold noted that during her 35 years' of employment with the Town, she worked with four different Building Inspectors, reported to work at the Old Lyme Market place during the Town Hall expansion project (2007 - 2008) and processed an uncountable number of building permits. He also added that Kathy has a lot in common with the Broadway show, Phantom of the Opera . Kathy began work with the Town in 1988 and the Phantom opened on Broadway in 1988. Now Kathy is retiring from the Town and the Phantom is concluding its run on Broadway. Tim asked her not to be the Phantom of Town Hall and urged her to visit us often.  Dave Roberge, Kathy Hall, Tisha Kirk, Tim Griswold and Matt WardKathy Hall and Dave Roberge
