Tim Griswold opened the meeting by honoring Kim Barrows for the 15 years of service to the Town as our Land Use Administrator. In addition, he mentioned that Kim has been the official Christmas party planner and has always done an outstanding job. Tim also shared that in her spare time, Kim cares for her two horses on her property and has been an active volunteer at the High Hopes Therapeutic Riding stable. In retirement, she will be able to devote more time to both of those worthy causes.

Paul Orzel, Chair of the Zoning Commission, shared kind words and recognized Kim’s dedication to what was always best for the Town.  He concluded with “we will miss you like a front tooth.” The Zoning Board of Appeals Chair, Nancy Hutchinson, commented on how nice it’s been working with her for the last 9 years and how thankful she and the Board are for all the work Kim has done. Eric Knapp, Land Use Coordinator, thanked Kim for her impact over the years to him personally as well as professionally.  Many of Kim’s co-workers were in the audience to send her off with best wishes in her retirement.

When presenting Kim with flowers, Tim commented that they are as beautiful as the ones awarded to the winner of the Kentucky Derby
