• Lymes' Senior Center - Summer Sounds Concert Series

  Come enjoy a summer evening with us! The second concert in our Summer Sounds Concert Series will be held on Thursday, July 11^th at 6pm. This Free Live Music Series is sponsored by the Lymes’ Senior Center & the Florence Griswold Museum and will be held on the grounds of the Florence Griswold Museum – 96 Lyme Street, Old Lyme. The band The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue will take the stage at 6pm. The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue is dedicated to preserving and performing the greatest music ever made - the music of the 1950's Doo Wop era. From New Hampshire to New Orleans and Virginia to Vegas, The Corvettes perform the great music of the Doo Wop era with a fresh new energy. Their incredibly entertaining show and comical stage antics have left many a happy audience screaming for more! In the tradition of legendary Doo Wop revivalists Sha Na Na, every Corvettes show is more than a concert - it's an all-out Doo Wop Celebration!  Munchies Food Truck will also be there from 5:30-7pm. Pack a picnic, bring your chairs, blankets, family, friends, and your dancing shoes! ***Please note that if we need to cancel for rain, we will post it on the Old Lyme town website under announcements and on our Lymes Senior Center Facebook page.
