As the Lymes' Youth Service Bureau approaches its 20th Anniversary, each year has helped build the foundation upon which our communities' children, youth, and families have experienced opportunities for growth and enrichment.
We are proud to support preschoolers and their families on a weekly basis through our Parent Resource Program in the Toddler Barn programming. Haunted House activities and treats, the building of gingerbread houses, meals with favorite friends such as Frosty, an Easter Egg hunt, and summer festival activities bring families together sharing in laughter and friendship.
Approximately 125 middle and high school youth meet weekly throughout the year to participate in a variety of programming activities under the guidance of our Youth Program Coordinator; YAC, REACH, SSA, Jr.YAC, middle school after school programming and special events such as field trips provided our children and youth with opportunities for social growth and development in an atmosphere fostering positive esteem for oneself and others.
LYSB's Homework Center, diligently staffed by volunteers, offers children opportunities for academic growth.
Free counseling is provided to youths and families during times of need by our clinical social work staff.
