The Old Lyme Landfill is located off Four Mile River Road, near Exit 71 of Route I-95.

Landfill Stickers
In order to receive a free landfill sticker, you must own property in Old Lyme or have your vehicle registered in Old Lyme. Landfill stickers allow entrance to the landfill site and can be obtained at the Selectman's Office. You must present your car registration to receive the sticker and stickers are only available for vehicles with a passenger registration or a pickup or van with a combination plate. The license plate number on the vehicle must match the license plate number on the sticker. You must have vehicle registration and proof of property ownership with you in order to receive a sticker. Recycling Fees
No additional fees for the following items (with Landfill Sticker):
* Clean glass and metal food containers (Bottles and cans)
* Clean plastic containers (number 1& 2)
* Newspapers, magazines, office paper
* Corrugated cardboard (flattened)
* Appliances that do not contain freon
* Waste Oil
* Motor vehicle batteries
* Scrap metal
Additional fees for the following items (with Landfill Sticker):

Fees apply to vehicles with or without landfill stickers. Fees may be paid in the Selectman's Office or at the Landfill. Checks must be made payable to the Town of Old Lyme.
No containers over 20 c yards accepted.
Vehicles with trailers: trailers will be charged separately, based on size.
