Volunteer Incentive Committee
Fire Dept/Ambulance Volunteers Incentive Program Committee
The charge of the committee is to review the current incentive program for individuals who volunteer to serve on the Old Lyme Fire Dept and Ambulance Association in order to make a recommendation for changes to the Board of Selectmen.
This will include, but may not be limited to:
- Amount of annual pension stipend
- Amount of annual tax abatement stipend
- Insurance coverage for Accidents, Medical & Disability associated with on the job incidents.
- Requirements for qualification for incentive program, which could include longevity exceptions
The committee must meet all FOI requirements with respect to the posting of agendas and minutes. The committee should provide regular updates to the Board of Selectmen and must submit a final recommendation to the Board of Selectmen by Feb. 11, 2012. .
