Fall Youth Soccer
Updates as of November 1..
Reminder to all...
(1) The P&R Soccer season will wrap up next Saturday, November 7.
Let's hope for good weather to finish the 2009 season off.
Thanks to all of the Volunteer Coaches who gave up their time for the benefit
of others. Your efforts are essential to the success of the Program and are appreciated.
(2) Youth Basketball sign-ups are available now.

The 2009 Soccer season started Saturday Sept 26.
Games are played at Town Woods Park
Grades K & 1 9:00-10:30 Field 1
Pre- K 10:45-11:45 Field 1
Grades 2-3 and 4-5 Games at 10:00 Fields 2 & 3
(Practice at the Field prior to the game at the Coaches discretion)

We will have a Coaches Meeting on
Saturday Sept 19 at the Old Lyme Town Hall Conference Room
Coaches are scheduled to come in as follows:
Pre-K and Grades K & 1 9:00 am Gr 2 & 3 / Gr 4 & 5 10:00 am
We will make the teams up and discuss all aspects of the season at the meeting.
If you know of someone who would like to help out and maybe, for some reason,
didn't list this on the form, encourage them to come.
Volunteer help is essential to the success of P&R programs.
Coaches will call Players and Parents with all details when
they are worked out and this webpage will be updated.

The Fall Soccer program is open to Old Lyme Residents.
All sessions will be held at Town Woods Park.
Teams are co-ed and are grouped by grade and ability.
Pre-K (Ages 3 & 4) Grade K Grade 1 Grade 2 & 3 Grade 4 & 5
Pre-K, Grade K & Grade 1 are Instructional Sessions held on Saturday mornings only.
Grades 2 & 3 / Grades 4 & 5 games are on Saturdays.
and the teams usually practice on the Field before their game.

The teams and schedule will be formed at a Coaches meeting (TBD)
Coaches will call with all details after the teams have been formed.
Fee $40 per child / $60 per family
Volunteer Coaches are essential to the success of the Program.
Your help is needed and appreciated.
Please sign-up in a timely manner.
This greatly helps in forming the teams, making the schedules and ordering equipment.
Sign-up options include:

Adult Open Gym Basketball

Sessions are held at the High School Gym
Wednesdays 6:30-9:00 pm
Sept 9, 2009 thru June 2, 2010
Lyme and Old Lyme residents only.
No sign-ups or fees.
Teams are formed each week based on participation.
Sessions are not held if school is cancelled and will not be made-up.
The starting time, and/or the sessions, could be delayed or moved
during the High School Volleyball and Basketball seasons.
Updates will be provided as they occur.
Zumba
Dance-Fitness Classes
Typical Program is as follows:
Latin-inspired dance fitness classes that incorporates Latin
and International music and dance moves.
Classes are typically 45 minutes of Zumba Dancing and
15 minutes of core strengthening exercise and stretching.
Please bring an exercise matt for the floor work.
Classes are held in the Mile Creek Gym Gym on Thursdays...
7:00 - 8:00 pm.
