Lyme-Old Lyme Education Foundation’s
Bound for the Sound Road Race for Education
What better way is there to mark the last day of summer than by running in the Bound for the Sound Race for Education? Join us on September 22, 2108, for a beautiful 10K or 5K run. Races start at Old Lyme’s Sound View Beach and wind through the town’s picturesque natural vistas. The race course is mostly flat with some gently rolling hills along country roads, ending with a sprint down historic Hartford Avenue to the beach. There is also a 1 Mile Fun Run. This popular road race is perfect for runners at all levels, from those seeking to achieve a personal best to first time racers.
Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers as well as top two finishers in each age group. And, race T-shirts will be available to the first 150 registrants.
Come on out and celebrate the end of summer, get your workout in, and support a great organization at the same time! Fees will increase for race day registrants, so register online now at www.lolef.org.
Looking ahead, don’t forget to mark your calendar for LOLEF’s next event, Volkswagen presents Warren Miller's "Face of Winter" on December 6, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
