FDA Food Code effective October 1!
CT has adopted the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Model Food Code and big changes are coming to CT and Ledge Light Health District (LLHD)! All restaurants, caterers, mobile food vendors, temporary and farmers’ markets food booths licensed by LLHD are strongly encouraged to join us at an informational session to discuss what changes are being implemented and how these changes will affect the procedures of both LLHD and our regulated foodservice establishments.  Major changes as of October 1, 2017 include a new temperature danger zone (41°F-135°F) and reclassification of facilities.
