Enlighten, Enhance, Enjoy our Beach Community!
Please join us on June 14, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the Shoreline Community Center on Hartford Avenue for an informational meeting on developing enhancements to the Sound View District. Old Lyme has been approved for a grant which covers 80% of the total cost for the conceptual project. This initial informational meeting is an important step in the process. This meeting will review the grant process and answer your questions on the grant procedure.
These exciting improvements will connect our community via an on-road bicycle path from Hartford Avenue to the Baldwin Bridge, will include a park and restroom facilities at Sound View and provide access to our community via enhanced bus service.
Along with Town officials, representatives from Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments and the CT Department of Transportation will be present to provide a description of the grant process including selection of an engineering firm to partner with the Town of Old Lyme and to answer questions regarding the grant procedure.
The entire community is encouraged to attend this important informational meeting.
Improvements to enhance our valuable natural assets and link the beach community to the rest of Old Lyme will strengthen the value of our community.
