LymeLine.com Launches HS Building Plan Blog
The Region 18 Board of Education and the Lyme-Old Lyme High School Building Committee have asked LymeLine, the online community newspaper that covers Lyme and Old Lyme, to host a blog about the proposed high school building/renovation plans.
The intent of the blog is to solicit input from a broad cross-section of the Lyme-Old Lyme community regarding their thoughts and opinions on the three design options currently under discussion by the building committee.
The three options were designed to the scope recommended by the High School Building Ad Hoc Advisory Committee, a group of some 40 community members who met for six months last year, with the objective of scaling down the scope of the building plan after the failed $53.9 million referendum.
LymeLine editor Olwen Logan is moderating the site and will review all comments -- for appropriateness only -- prior to posting.
Logan comments, “We are glad to host this forum in an effort to assist the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme to find a solution to the high school situation that’s acceptable to the whole community.” Access the building plan blog at www.lymeline.com
