TOWN OF OLD LYME
ANNUAL BUDGET MEETING
Electors and citizens eligible to vote in Town meeting are hereby warned that the Annual Budget meeting will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008, at 7:30 PM in the Middle School Auditorium of District #18, Lyme Street, Old Lyme, Connecticut to consider and act upon the following:
To adopt the Budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, as recommended by the Board of Finance.
To adopt a proposal that taxes in the Town of Old Lyme on Real Estate and Personal Property shall be paid in two (2) semi-annual installments, the first payment being due on July 1, 2008 and the second payment on January 1, 2009. Any tax in these categories under $100.00 will be due in full in one payment in July, 2008, as are vehicles on Supplemental List due in January, 2009 in one payment.
To appropriate the additional sum of $50,000.00 from the Town’s undesignated surplus account for the Land Acquisition Fund, as recommended by the Board of Finance.
To approve the re-appointment of Jane R. Marsh to the Connecticut River Estuary Regional Planning Agency (CRERPA) such term to expire in January 2010, as recommended by the Board of Selectmen.
To appropriate a sum not to exceed $195,000.00 from the Town’s undesignated surplus account to cover additional expenses associated with the Town Hall Expansion Project, as recommended by the Board of Finance.
To apply to Regional School District #18 for said School District to institute procedures for the dissolution of the School District under Connecticut General Statutes Section 10-63a et. seq., per a petition filed with the Old Lyme Town Clerk on April 30, 2008 in accordance with CGS Section 7-1
To consider and act upon any other matters which may properly come before said meeting.
