OLD LYME KIDS PITCH IN TO PAINT THE RAILING ON LYME STREET
Attached is a photo taken on Moday, May 5th of five students from the Kids Care Club at Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau. They are painting the metal railing on Lyme Street in front of the Old Lyme - Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library. The metal railing was rusting and in poor condition and is being changed to black. Lymes' Youth Service Bureau arranged to make the painting a community project after being informed of the problem by the Old Lyme Historic District Commission. LYSB’s Kids Care Club is open to any elementary student and meets monthly to work on community service projects.
In the photo from left to right: Front Row - Lexi Duddy (3rd grade), Veronica Rollins (5th grade), Ellen Leary (5th grade), Olivia Angeli (5th grade), Grace Basler (3rd grade). Back Row - Missy Colburn (LYSB’s Youth Programs Coordinator).
