Spring Leaf Pick-up in the Town of Old Lyme begins the week of May 5.
Place leaves only (no twigs, grass clippings, or hedge trimmings) in biodegradable paper bags.
These large paper bags can be purchased at all local grocery, hardware, nursery & convenience stores.
Leaves in plastic bags will not be collected.
Do Not Sweep Leaves into the Street – leaves accumulate in and clog the catch basins which leads to drainage problems and extra work for the Public Works staff.
Leaves may no longer be composted at the Landfill. Residents may bring loose or bagged leaves to the Town Landfill and empty the bags at a designated area.
